How the strike mission works?

You hold a spot on the waitlist. We watch the swell with Mike.

When the Osa fires, you go.

Hold your spot

A $500 deposit puts you on the waitlist through FareHarbor. Five guests maximum. When the trip is full, it's full.

Mike watches the swell

The Osa Peninsula fires on South Pacific groundswell. Mike has run this water for years and knows every window. No fixed calendar, no mediocre conditions.

The window opens

Typically two weeks out, confirmed guests get the call. Dates lock, you book your flights, and we handle everything on the ground.

We don't run this trip on a schedule.
We run it on a
swell.

What is this strike mission?

A tow foil mission to Cabo Matapalo, a stretch of Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula where a jungle-backed point breaks for hundreds of meters when the swell lines up. Captain Mike Hennessy has been running this water for years. He knows when it's on, how to run the tow operation, and where the marlin are if you want a day offshore.

Five guests, boat and ski on the water every morning, chef meals at Encanta La Vida. One of the most biodiverse places on earth as your backdrop.

Optional offshore fishing day for whoever wants it, split among participants.

why Cabo matapalo

One of the longest tow foil waves on earth.

The wave

Pan Dulce and the surrounding breaks at Cabo Matapalo can run for hundreds of meters on the right swell. On the right day, this is one of the longest tow foil waves available anywhere on earth.

The captain

Mike Hennessy (@hennessyfishing) has run this water for years. He operates both the tow foil setup and the offshore fishing boat, and knows every swell window and every line on this stretch of coast.

the lodge

Encanta La Vida is the only beachfront jungle lodge in Matapalo. You sleep steps from the break. Chef-prepared meals, saltwater pool, rainforest canopy overhead. The setup is as good as the surfing.

the osa

National Geographic calls this the most biologically intense place on earth. You'll see scarlet macaws, monkeys, and sloths from the property. The surfing is world-class. Everything else is a bonus.
